Sleeping man was my attempt to create soccer star Sung Yueng Ki, however after an unfortunate tumble from my hand onto the floor, it took on a new form. It transformed from Barclays Premier League star to an artsy take on the human face. It has a hand for a stand, which is ominous because it depicts either a very small skull, or a large hand. The meaning of the piece is in the eye of the beholder. I used clay as my median and as a final touch I coated it with entirely black glaze which I cannot present in a picture because it is far too glossy.
