The color wheel and diagram really helped me to understand the color theory and I really enjoyed doing the painting. If I had to change anything I would've been a little more precise with my coloring.
For my painting project I recieved Seurat as my artist. He specialized in pointillism therefore I chose to do a landscape in pointillism. I chose Anfield stadium in Liverpool because I love Liverpool and it means a lot to me. The painting was extremely tedious however the finished product was class. I enjoyed doing the project about 60% of the time while 35% was spent loathing it, then 5% dedicated purely to crying because of my cramping hand. I really don't want to do a pointillism project again but I'm not bad at it so I might attempt one some other time.
For my clay food project i decided to do a hand with a popsicle because i wanted to do a hand really bad and since it had to involve food the popsicle seemed like the easiest food to do. I really like how its come out so far. as for paint i plan on glazing it and putting a lot of glaze on so it has to drip off the hand. like its melting. I think it will look pretty sick nasty when its done.
My color project was to use colored pencils to draw my lizard Gerrard. It was really difficult to get all the shading properly. I really enjoyed the final outcome however. I did not like how long it took. Layer after layer it seemed to barely change but after 4 or 5 I finally got the value I wanted. I really like the colors I chose. The yellow really pops off the blue
For our pastel bottle drawing project I was tasked with drawing a Gatorade bottle. Which is not easy at all but I did enjoy this project because it helped me realize something. I hate oil pastels with a passion.
The first project we did was perspective with pencil/pen. What I did was a dragon with a castle in the background. The scale of the project and time it took was beyond what I thought. I really enjoyed this project and spent countless hours drawing scales and bricks of the castle and dragon. I honestly thought it wasn't going to be good but I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. I really enjoy pencil drawings and in proud of myself for not quitting halfway through.
This is the lot of apples Ms. Rossi had us create. My favorite of the group is the large blue colored pencil apple on brown paper. I feel i did a good job layering the colors and using gradient to give the illusion of three dimensions. I don't like water color at all.
